Recent automatic updates for OSAS version 8 and TRAVERSE - January 2015With the release of OSAS version 8, both TRAVERSE and OSAS now feature automatic update processes that will bring you the latest fixes and features as they are added. It’s yet another way that your maintenance subscription adds real value to your software solution. So what’s new in OSAS and TRAVERSE? OSASUser List in Resource Manger - You can now print a User List which shows user names , user IDs, archive settings, and the roles assigned to them. You will also find that the E-Mail History Report has been moved to the File Lists menu on the RM Installation and Configuration menu. Personnel Report in Payroll/Direct Deposit - Use the new Employee Utilization Report to help you determine how many full-time equivalent employees you have, which you can then use to help you evaluate how your company is affected by the Affordable Care Act. History Reports in Accounts Payable - The summary version of the Vendor Detail History Report now allows you to drill into a detailed version of the report for any vendor you select when viewing the report in preview mode. History Reports in Accounts Receivable - The summary version of the Detail History Report now allows you to drill into a detail version of the report for any customer you select when viewing the report in preview mode. 2015 Compliance Update in Accounts Payable and Payroll - Form and magnetic media changes for 2014 tax filing as well as state and federal table and formula changes. Read this compliance advisory for additional information. 2015 Compliance Update in Payroll - Beginning with this update, tax-compliance updates will no longer overwrite SUI table percentages. The updates will change only the base limits on the standard SUI tables, and on any existing company-specific SUI tables. TRAVERSEDisconnected Mode for Point of Sale (POS) - The POS application's Disconnected Mode uses a local database on each sales terminal to retain transactional data. The local terminal databases are synchronized with the POS tables in the TRAVERSE database via a Synchronize function on the terminal. The data in the POS tables is then updated to the main TRAVERSE database via the Active Order Processing function. Employee Utilization Report in Payroll - This report uses data collected from Payroll processing and includes details of salaried, full-time hourly, and part-time hourly employees. Hours worked by part-time employees are displayed and summed. The associated number of full-time equivalent employees in your company is calculated based on those totals. You can find more information about this report on the Open Systems website. Transactions in General Ledger - You can now use batch processing for new GL transactions. Set the General Ledger Use Batch Processing business rule to Yes to enable writing GL transactions to the journal in a batch. Projects in Project Costing - You can now add site information for a project at the project level, providing better control of tax requirements. Form Layout in Design Studio - New plug-ins allow you to customize the layout of the Payroll W-2 forms and Accounts Payable 1099 forms. Post to Master in General Ledger - In addition to the current fiscal period and year options, you can now select to post transactions from specific application sources and/or subsidiary post runs via a filter control.
