OSAS 7.6 Tip: Locking Accounting PeriodsOne of the key features of OSAS version 7.6 is the ability to lock general ledger periods. The beginning of a new year is a good time to take advantage of this feature by locking the first period of the previous year and the last period of the current year to help prevent erroneous entries from being made accidentally to the wrong fiscal year. To use this feature, make sure you have the option called Prohibit Application Posting/Processing for Locked Periods? set to Yes and then lock the periods you want to protect.
